Product description
Buona Spesa Napkins represent a new generation of paper household products. Made exclusively from recycled fibers from paper and cardboard, they are completely free from chemical bleaching processes. The goal is to offer consumers a truly sustainable choice, without compromising on quality, safety, or functionality. The production cycle significantly reduces environmental impact throughout the supply chain, using fibers that have "lived" and require less water, energy, and natural resources. The packaging is also eco-friendly, made from film containing up to 60% post-consumer recycled plastic. The project aims to educate consumers about the value of sustainability, including through a different aesthetic than conventional paper, overcoming the prejudice that "quality" paper must necessarily be white. The recycled fibers used for the Buona Spesa label have an 80% lower ecological footprint than the virgin fibers used by WEPA (source: LCA conducted according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards using the FOEN 2021 Ecological Scarcity method) specifically: - 87% water use - 31% lower CO2 emissions - 40 kg fewer chemicals per ton of DIP = 35 kg less CO2 Data Based on Life Cycle Analyses. Method: Ecological Scarcity Method, Data Source: Primary Data from WEPA Suppliers and Own Production (source: LCA conducted according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards using the FOEN 2021 Ecological Scarcity method)
